Each office product will be assessed across multiple categories:
Material Circularity: Measure the percentage of materials that are recyclable, reused, or renewable. Consider factors like product composition, recyclability of materials, and the ease of disassembly.
Product Longevity & Durability: Evaluate how long the product lasts before requiring refurbishment or replacement. Focus on build quality, modularity for repair, and warranty terms.
Refurbishment & Reusability: Assess how well the product can be refurbished or reused. Metrics could include the number of refurbishments possible, product refurbishment cycle time, and ease of reuse.
Carbon Impact: Quantify the reduction in carbon emissions based on the number of refurbishments, recycling efficiency, and the product's end-of-life handling. This is critical for net zero targeting.
End-of-Life Management: Measure how effectively the product is disposed of or recycled at the end of its lifecycle. Consider take-back programs, waste diversion strategies, and whether the product complies with waste management standards.
CircularScore Accreditation Levels
Platinum: Highly circular, minimal carbon footprint, and extensive refurbishment/refuse potential.
Gold: Strong circular features but with areas for improvement, such as recyclability or durability.
Silver: Moderate circularity with some refurbishment options and eco-friendly material choices.
Bronze: Basic circularity, but limited refurbishment or carbon savings potential.
